Facilitator
Under the responsibility of the coordinator, the facilitator plays a key role in welcoming, leading, and supporting the participants.
Ensuring their safety in our premises and during community outings, he or she promotes the development of personal and social skills, thus contributing to their integration within the community.
Required Skills:
- College or university level training in a field related to intervention (special education, social work, leisure intervention, psychoeducation, teaching, music therapy, etc.);
- Experience in babysitting, supporting, or facilitating people with intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders, the elderly, or any other clientele with specific needs;
- Autonomy, maturity, sense of responsibility;
- Comfortable working in a team;
- Initiative;
- Creativity in designing and carrying out activities;
- Consistency, interest, and respect in supporting people with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder;
- For the summer day camp, we are looking for a few people under the age of 30 (requirement for the Canada Summer Jobs subsidy);
- Valid CPR and background check.

Work schedule
- Full time and part time option (8h per day minimun 16h per week ad maximun 40h per week)
- Day respite: from Saturday to Thursday from 8h30 to 16h30
- Night respite: from Friday 18h30 to Sunday 16h30
- Salary: $18.23/hour
- Oportunity to work full time and part time
- 30 minutes of break paid

Intern Program
Every year, La Maison de Répit La Ressource welcomes interns in various fields, offering an enriching training experience.
We are looking for motivated and passionate interns, particularly in the following areas:
- Special Education: Special education interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of participants by implementing interventions adapted to their needs.
- Social Work: Social work interns will play a crucial role in providing psychosocial support to participants and help strengthen community ties.
- Leisure Intervention: For leisure intervention trainees, the emphasis will be placed on the creation and implementation of stimulating activities, promoting inclusion and development.
- Psychoeducation: Psychoeducation trainees will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to help participants develop adaptive skills.
- Teaching: Teaching interns will participate in the design and implementation of educational programs aimed at skills development.
- Music Therapy: Music therapy trainees will have a unique role in using music as a means of expression and communication.

Volunteer Program
The members of the board of directors are all volunteers, most of whom are parents who use our respite services.
Other people can contribute by exercising their talents in different ways depending on their availability. Here are some examples of tasks:
- Help with gardening or snow removal.
- Help with the maintenance of our facilities.
- Act as an accompanist during special outings.
- Help with administrative tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of promotional materials.
